Echoes in the Emptiness

The violin will scream songs of your demise
Gracefully alluding to thoughts of another time.
This wicked wonderland lullaby
Say good night one last time.
When all the tears refuse to dry
Painfully eluding the truth behind the lies
This frigid fragile kiss good night
I would die to forget your eyes.

I don't believe this is the last of all my dreams
though it seems to remain unseen.
I can't believe this is the only way to bleed
but I'm certain I've came to be...
empty.

I try to memorize all my words
Piercing their meaning into the walls of my heart
Another poem with another verse
Say you'll fall for me. Say you'll fall apart.
Impossible to compromise.
Hearing all the sounds without a syllable spoken
You were always the music of the night.
But tonight your notes fall upon the broken.

And if this song plays to the end of me
though it seems to remain unseen.
And if these words destroy your dreams
you will know what it is to be empty...
